Let Them Eat Cake

James De Bono

After the collapse of his high school rock band, James De Bono (aka Bones) made the move to Melbourne and started DJ-ing at university parties to fuel his love of musical performance.

After some early successes, James made his break into the Melbourne club scene playing venues like Brown Alley, Euro Trash, OneSixOne, Tramp and La Di Da. He now has residencies at several clubs and plays festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Strawberry Fields.

James draws from his music background and appreciation of the Melbourne music scene to deliver performances that fill any dance floor. James takes inspiration from local and international artists playing genres like Deep House, Tech House, Minimal, Techno and Psytrance. In his short time DJ-ing he's supported acts such as Flight Facilities, Baauer, Kilter, Alison Wonderland, Clockwork and Emoh.

James’ sets take dancey house tunes and throw in some deep beats pushing positive vibes with foot stomping basslines.
